GEORGE Yonemori
My life begins when I become eighteen.
Inside the university so grand
Besides big kids so smart, the fields so green.
Countless new things to learn and understand.
I know I will be living large one day.
This parking lot is packed with fancy cars.
Study the textbook ‘til my hair turns grey.
Education will get my ass on Mars.
Now armed with my philosophy degree,
Starbucks will not even answer my call.
My bank account is still dry and empty.
Age twenty-two, my back’s against the wall.
I am forty thousand dollars in debt.
This is my life, no choice but to accept.
