Eternity

One last breath, one last touch,
I give in to the moment. God says I must.
This is the end, I feel no pain,
I’m numb to the cancer in my veins.
18 years I’ve been fighting this war,
I surrender peacefully. I cannot take any more.
My mother wants me to stay in her arms, but the light is so bright and my soul feels so light.
The cries from my sister start to fade as I slowly slip away from my decaying body, I close my emerald eyes. It’s time to say goodbye.
Father above takes me gently. As gently as he took my brother before me. My spirit is free. Released from agony,
Tranquility is reached inside of me.
Arrive at paradise, I’m reunited with my blood.
From now to eternity, we paint the sky,
Vibrant colors of yellow, orange and red to let them know we never died.
